Our team

Dr Puja Saxena

Dr Puja Saxena is a PhD in Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology -Roorkee, India. She did her post-doctoral fellowship at Resource Center for Science & Engineering, San Juan, Puerto Rico. She is passionate about science and research. She has 21 research publications in various National and International journals. She won the best research project award for developing a new technique for Uric acid determination in blood at her Masters level.

She has been tutoring students throughout her studies from Bachelor to PhD. She mentored various Masters students during her doctoral studies. She taught science in middle school and also taught Chemistry and took laboratory courses for bachelor’s and Masters students in India. She also worked in the area of intellectual property in a firm in Arizona before giving up her full time job to take care of her two girls who are now 11 and 7, and aspire to be scientists like their mom and dad who holds a doctorate degree in Physics. Dr Saxena loves to read and talk about science. She believes in learning science through experimentation and wants to share her passion for science with more and more students. She is starting the New Edge STEM Academy Branch in Nashua which caters to experiment based science learning for K-8. She wants kids to love science and not get stressed out doing it. She enjoys books, playing badminton and spending quality indoor and outdoor time with her two girls!

Dr Deepak Varshney

Dr Deepak Varshney is a doctorate in Chemical Physics from the University of Puerto Rico. He did his Master’s in Physics from Indian Institute of Technology-Roorkee, India. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Mathematics. He is a passionate researcher and had 3 filed patent application and 16 research publications in various reputed journals at the time of his PhD. He has 11 years of post-PhD research experience in Physics and Material Science with 4 granted patents and 4 filed patent applications. He worked as a Research Scientist in a start-up ZHRO LLC in Chandler, Arizona from 2013-2018. He is currently working as a Principal Material Scientist in Advance Materials division of Huntsman Corporation at Merrimack, New Hampshire. He plays a key role in developing new materials for various government funded projects from NASA, ARPA-E etc.

Dr Varshney endeavours to inculcate a love for Physics in students. He has four years of tutoring experience in Physics and Mathematics with middle and high school students in India. He has a knack of teaching Physics through instruction and experimentation in a way that even the complicated concepts become easy to grasp and understand. He has been successful in inspiring many students to take up Physics as a subject at various levels. He is also passionate about basketball and represented his team at university level. He likes to sing, play pool and chess. He spends his free time playing with his two daughters and experimenting new things with them.
